134-11 June 14, 2011 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange holds a Tax Sale Certificate number 1486 for property within the municipality known as Block 162, Lot 2, and WHEREAS, certain partial tax payments were received from The City of Orange which is the owner of the Block 162, Lot 2, “the Subject Property”, and such payments have been held in escrow because they are insufficient to pay off the entire balance of taxes due for the Subject Property, and WHEREAS, the Township Council of the Township of West Orange previously adopted Resolution number 88-11, authorizing foreclosure of the municipal tax sale certificate held by the Township by short title In Rem, as provided in the In Rem Tax Foreclosure Act (1948), NJSA 54:5- 104.29 et seq., on the Tax Sale Certificate held by the municipality, as listed on the tax foreclosure list attached hereto; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Township Council of the Township of West Orange hereby authorizes the Financial Officer of the Township of West Orange to refund to the City of Orange any and all partial tax payments for Block 162, Lot 2, which have been submitted by The City of Orange and held in escrow. ________________________________ Sal M.
