Master Plan Reexamination Resolution

#17-01 TOWNSHIP OF WEST ORANGE PLANNING BOARD RESOLUTION WHEREAS the Planning Board of the Township of West Orange, County of Essex, State of New Jersey (the “Board”) is required by N.J.S.A. 40:55D-89 to conduct a periodic reexamination of the Master Plan; and WHEREAS the last reexamination took place on 2010 and WHEREAS there have been and continue to be significant changes occurring within the Township which ought to be incorporated into and reflected in the Master Plan so as to provide a forward-thinking blueprint for the Township’s future growth; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: 1. The Board does hereby resolve to undertake reexamination of the Master Plan. The Board intends to gather input from all interested stakeholders in order to inform the proceedings and create an updated planning guide for the Township’s future. 2: The Board requests funding in an amount not greater than $35,000 so that a professional planner be engaged to assist the Board in this process. The Board intends to engage the Township Planners Phillips Preiss Grygiel for this purpose subject to the Township’s authorization.
