1 Conference Meeting – May 4, 2021 The West Orange Township Council met virtually due to the Covid 19 pandemic beginning at 6:35 p.m., Karen Carnevale, Municipal Clerk read the following statement: This is to inform the general public that this meeting is being held in compliance with Section 5 of the Open Public Meetings Act, Chapter 231, Public Law 1975. The annual notice was emailed to the Star Ledger and filed in the Township Clerk’s office on November 30, 2020, and published in the West Orange Chronicle on December 10, 2020. Roll Call – Councilwoman Casalino, Councilwoman McCartney, Councilman Rutherford, Councilwoman Williams, Council President Matute-Brown, Mayor Parisi A presentation was given by Graduate Students Nazrin Akther, Greg Wu, Gabriel Almanza and Mr. Stan Goodman of the Stevens Institute of Technology’s Environmental Engineering Department regarding a Sustainability Management Plan. The Council had a follow up discussion regarding the 2021 Municipal Budget hearing dates. The Council gave their liaison announcements. All members voting “Aye.” Ordinances on Second and Final Reading - None Ordinances on First Reading-None Executive Session At 8:35 p.m. on motion made by Councilwoman Williams and seconded by Councilwoman Casalino, the Council entered into an executive session. All members voting “Aye.” At 9:05 p.m., on motion made by Councilwoman Williams and seconded by Councilwoman McCartney, the executive session was ended and the Council returned to their public meeting.
