Conference Meeting — February 1, 2022 The West Orange Township Council met virtually due to the Covid 19 pandemic beginning at 6:31 p.m., Karen Carnevale, Municipal Clerk read the following statement: This is to inform the general public that this meeting is being held in compliance with Section 5 of the Open Public Meetings Act, Chapter 231, Public Law 1975. The annual notice was emailed to the Star Ledger and filed in the Township Clerk’s office on November 24, 2021, and published in the West Orange Chronicle on December 2, 2021. Roll Call — Councilwoman Matute-Brown, Councilman Rutherford, Councilwoman Williams, Council President McCartney Councilwoman Casalino arrived at 6:40 p.m. Camille DiLorenzo, Pleasant Valley Productions along with Lynette Sheard gave an update regarding the programming and finances at OSPAC. Councilwoman Williams announced a contest called “She Did What?” being conducted for Black History Month for W.O. Middle and High School students. All members voting “Aye.” Ordinances on Second and Final Reading - None Ordinances on First Reading Ordinance 2676-22 On motion made by Councilwoman Casalino and seconded by Councilwoman Matute-Brown, An Ordinance Amending and Supplementing Chapter 4, Section 1.1 and 1.7 and Establishing Section 1.8 of the Revised General Ordinances of the Township of West Orange (illegal-Dumping) was
approved on first reading, ordered advertised according to law, to come up for second and final reading on February 15, 2022. All members voting “Aye.” Ordinance 2677-22 On motion made by Council President McCartney and seconded by Councilwoman Matute-Brown, An Ordinance Amending Chapter 25, Section 15.3.c. of the Revised General Ordinances of the Township of West Orange (Signage for Businesses with Drive-Up Windows) was approved on first reading, ordered advertised according to law, to come up for second and final reading on February 15, 2022. All members voting “Aye.” Pending Matters/New Matters/Council Discussion — None At this time the Council presented their liaison reports. At 8:01 p.m., on motion made by Councilwoman Casalino and seconded by Councilwoman Williams, the public meeting was adjourned and the Council entered into executive session. All members voting “Aye.” At 10:01 p.m., on motion made by Councilwoman Casalino and seconded by Councilwoman Williams, the executive session was adjourned.
