35-10 February 9, 2010 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange is in need of a company to staff the security post outside the Municipal Courtroom when court is in session; and WHEREAS, the Purchasing Agent did previously advertise a bid, pursuant to the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law (N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1) for the Furnishing of Unarmed Security Officers for the West Orange Municipal Court, specifying a 24 month contract with an option to extend the contract for an additional 12 month period; and WHEREAS, Abbry Security LLC submitted a bid and was awarded the contract as the lowest responsible bidder; and WHEREAS, Abbry Security LLC has satisfactorily performed during the 24 months of the contract; and WHEREAS, the Township desires to exercise the option to extend the contract with Abbry Security LLC for the additional 12 month period; and WHEREAS, the extension period shall be at the same rate and terms as the prior 24 month contract; and WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer of the Township has certified as to the availability of funds for the contract; NOW, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE TOWNSHIP COUNCIL OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WEST ORANGE that the Township be and is hereby authorized to exercise the option to extend the contract with Abbry Security LLC for an additional 12 month period at the same rate and terms as the prior 24 month contract; and it is further RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be published and maintained as required by law.
