AGENDA January 18, 2011 Township of West Orange 66 Main Street – 7:00 p.m. This is to inform the general public that this meeting is being held in compliance with Section 5 of the Open Public Meetings Act, Chapter 231, Public Law 1975. A notice of this meeting was mailed to the Star Ledger and the West Orange Chronicle on November 19, 2010. A notice of this meeting was also posted on the Bulletin Board in the Municipal Building, West Orange and filed in the office of the Municipal Clerk of the Township of West Orange on November 19, 2010. Statement of Decorum In all matters not provided for in subsection 3-15.1 and except upon consent of the Council President, each person addressing the Council pursuant to this subsection shall be required to limit his or her remarks to five (5) minutes, and shall at no time engage in any personally offensive or abusive remarks. Adding a New Section 2-82 Entitled, “Citizen Service”, to Provide for Open Applications and a Public Directory of Township Council Appointed Municipal Positions This ordinance is to establish a set of procedures for the advertisement of information concerning various positions open to citizens through appointment by the Township Council. b. 2304-11 REMOVED c. 2305-11 An Ordinance Amending and Supplementing Chapter 2 Section 10.1 of the Revised General Ordinances of the Township of West Orange, Entitled “Director of Public Words; Duties of Department” The purpose of this ordinance is to establish the position of Deputy Municipal Department Head of Public Works/Engineering who shall have the authority to perform the duties in the event that the Director of Public Works position is vacant. d. 2306-11 An Ordinance Amending an Ordinance Creating a Reclassification and Salary Schedule of Certain Township of West Orange Municipal Employees Setting Forth Their Titles, Classification and Salary Ranges and Adopting a Salary

Guide and Establishing the Employee’s Status as a Township Employee and Under the Guidelines of the New Jersey Department of Personnel The purpose of this ordinance is to fix the compensation for the three (3) enumerated unclassified job titles per as set forth in the contracts proposed by the Mayor and approved by the Township Council. e. 2307-11 An Ordinance Amending and Supplementing Chapter 2 Section 17.1 of the Revised General Ordinances of the Township of West Orange, Entitled “Department Generally”- Deputy Department Head of Recreation The purpose of this ordinance is to establish the position of Deputy Department Head of Recreation who shall have the authority to perform the duties in the event that the Director of Recreation and Cultural Affairs position is vacant. f. 2308-11 An Ordinance Amending and Supplementing Chapter 2 Section 11.1 of the Revised General Ordinances of the Township of West Orange, Entitled “Department Generally” – Deputy Municipal Department Head of Planning/Development The purpose of this ordinance is to establish the position of Deputy Municipal Department Head of Planning/Development who shall have the authority to perform the duties in the event that the Director of Planning position is vacant. *11.
