142-10 June 15, 2010 RESOLUTION 2010 Auto Body Repair Services WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange has advertised for bids on November 28, 2009, pursuant to the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law (N.J.S.A. 40a:11-1) for the 2010 Auto Body Repair Contract; and WHEREAS, on December 08, 2009 at the time and place advertised for the opening of said bids, the Township did receive four bids; and WHEREAS, an objection was raised against the low bidder which resulted in a postponement of the award pending investigation by the Township Administrator, Municipal Attorney, Director of Public Works, and Purchasing Agent; and WHEREAS, after thorough review, the low bidder proved to be responsible and responsive in their billing methods; and WHEREAS, the specifications of the bid state the low bidder will be the primary vendor and that the second low bidder will be an alternate based on the same criteria in the specifications. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Municipal Council of the Township of West Orange that the Auto Body Repair Contract for 2010 is awarded as follows: Primary Vendor Alternate Vendor A. Lembo Car & Collision Inc. Rannix Corporation 76 Riverside Avenue 50 Main Street Newark, NJ 07104 Orange, NJ 07050 All rates submitted by vendors are attached and hereby part of this resolution. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Business Administrator is hereby authorized to arrange to pay for the foregoing in accordance with the terms of said Purchase Order on behalf of the Township from funds certified available by the Chief Financial Officer. _____________________________ ________________________ Karen J.
