Z:\Resolutions\2010\164-10 Award of Contract-Fox Rothschild 2010 (2).doc 164-10 June 29, 2010 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Township needs legal counsel concerning specialized matters involving labor and personnel issues; and WHEREAS, the Township has undertaken a fair and open process for consideration of professionals; and WHEREAS, Fox Rothschild, LLP has provided certain submissions concerning its credentials, expertise and budget; and WHEREAS, the Township Budget has allocated certain monies for legal fees involving labor and personnel matters; and WHEREAS, the Township Attorney in conjunction with the Business Administrator have considered the services to be provided and the credentials of the professionals; and WHEREAS, Fox Rothschild, LLP has agreed to provide services at a rate of $150 per hour; and WHEREAS, the Township Council previously approved allocations to Fox Rothschild, LLP for legal services in the amount of $50,000; and WHEREAS, the Township requires additional legal services to be rendered in connection with labor and personnel issues; and WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer of the Township has certified as to the availability of funds for this contract; NOW, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that Fox Rothschild, LLP be and is hereby retained as Special Labor Counsel at a rate of $150 not to exceed a total of $25,000 for the Calendar Year 2010, subject to the Township's Billing Guidelines; and it is further RESOLVED, that notice of this award shall be published and available in accordance with applicable law. ________________________________ Karen J.
