194-10 July 20, 2010 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the State of New Jersey has established the Green Acres Program to preserve open space; and WHEREAS, the Green Acres Program has funds for land acquisition to achieve the open space purpose; and WHEREAS, the Township may seek additional funding for Fall 2010; and WHEREAS, the Director of Planning and Development has recommended that $1,000,000 of additional funding be sought to meet the Township’s open space goals; NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that the Township shall apply to the State of New Jersey Green Acres Program during Fall 2010 for $1,000,000 in open space acquisition funds; AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Director of Planning and Development be and are hereby authorized to execute any and all documents necessary to seek the above funding. ________________________________ Karen J.
