196-10 July 20, 2010 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange through its consultant designed streetscape improvements for the Downtown Corridor known as Downtown West Orange Streetscape and Traffic Improvement Program; and WHEREAS, the design plans include decorative street lighting which will be provided and installed by Public Service Electric and Gas Company; and WHEREAS, Public Service requires the Township enter into an Agreement with Public Service for the cost of the poles and brackets and the installation of the same including the light fixtures; and WHEREAS, the cost for these materials and construction services to be provided by Public Service is $222,156.28. WHEREAS, to complete the project as designed the Township Engineer recommends the Township enter into an Agreement with Public Service Electric and Gas Company; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that the Township Council authorizes entering into an Agreement with Public Service Electric and Gas Company in the amount of $222,156.28 and the Township Engineer and Township Purchasing Agent are authorized to sign the Service Agreement and issue a Purchase Order in the amount of $222,156.28. ______________________________________ SAL M.
