218-10 August 17, 2010 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange has been approved through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) , the FY 2009 Assistance to Firefighters Grant; and WHEREAS, the West Orange Fire Department has need to update the Townships emergency rescue confined space equipment; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the Local Public Contracts Law 40A:11-1 etc an advertisement for bids for this specific equipment was placed in the newspaper on June 08, 2010; and WHEREAS, on the date, time and place advertised for the opening of said bids, the Township did receive one bid; and WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange Fire Department has thoroughly reviewed this bid for compliance with our specifications and the Purchasing Agent has also reviewed bid and found it to be compliant. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Municipal Council of the Township of West Orange that the purchase Confined Space Emergency Equipment is hereby awarded to: Continental Fire & Safety, Inc. 180 Volusia Avenue Trenton, NJ 08610 Award amount is $35,492.00. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Business Administrator is hereby authorized to arrange to pay for the foregoing in accordance with the terms of said Purchase Order on behalf of the Township of West Orange from funds certified by the Chief Financial Officer.
