262-10 October 12, 2010 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, the West Orange Township Council upon the recommendation of the Township Engineer approved Resolution No. 234-10 on September 14, 2010 which authorized an emergency appropriation of $136,811.50 to Grabowski Construction, Inc. of 770 Northfield Avenue, West Orange, N.J. for the emergency reconstruction of the Township’s original easterly interceptor sewer on Valley Road near Kingsley Street; and WHEREAS, upon completion of the work and the authorization of the emergency appropriation, Grabowski Construction, Inc. was invoiced an additional $1,096.00 for Police Traffic Control that was not included on the original invoice of $136,811.50; and WHEREAS, the Township Engineer reviewed the records of the Police Department and the invoices of Grabowski Construction, Inc. and verified that the Police Traffic Director hours included in this invoice were not previously billed; and WHEREAS, the Township Engineer by letter dated October 5, 2010 recommends Grabowski Construction, Inc. be paid for this traffic control; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that an additional appropriation of $1,096.00 be authorized for Grabowski Construction, Inc. of 770 Northfield Avenue, West Orange, N.J. for Police Traffic Directors associated with the reconstruction of the easterly interceptor sewer on Valley Road bring the final cost to $137,907.50.
