A LOI was issued on December 27, 2019, which verified the boundaries of the wetlands on the above-referenced site (File No. 0722-04-0001.1). The LOI listed the applicant as Garden Homes, but the property owner is West Essex Highlands Inc. Therefore, this name change is requested for the LOI extension. This site has received numerous LOls and LOI Extensions in 1996, 2000, 2008, 2015, and 2019. The 120.5+-acre site is located off of Oval Road and Bongart Drive, behind Pleasant Valley Way. The site is undeveloped and characterized by upland and forested wetlands. Canoe Brook and its unnamed tributaries are located within the site. Enclosed, please find a CD containing a complete copy of the application. If you would like a paper copy of the application, please let me know. Below please find the legal notice. This letter is to provide you with legal notification that an application for an extension of a previously issued letter of interpretation has been submitted to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Land Resource Protection for the site shown on the enclosed survey. The complete permit application package can be reviewed at either the municipal clerk’s office in the municipality in which the site subject to the application is located, or by appointment at the Department's Trenton Office. The Department of Environmental Protection welcomes comments and any information that you may provide concerning the proposed development and site.
