300 Tice Boulevard Suite 101 Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey 07677 Main: 877 627 3772 VIA EMAIL February 28, 2025 Mr. Richard Cohn 40 Eagle Ridge Way West Orange, NJ Storm Water Management Plan Soil Testing – 40 Eagle Ridge Way Township of West Orange, Essex County, NJ Project No. 24006174A Dear Ms. Cohn, In furtherance of our agreement to provide you with a Stormwater Management Plan and in response to the request from the West Orange Planning Board during the hearing held on February 13, 2025, we conducted test pits and soil permeability testing ton February 18, 2025. Francesco Sanchez-Dominici, PE, the geotechnical engineer with Colliers supervised the excavation of 5 test pits and performed an infiltration test and Phil Scott from Matrix New World Engineering was also present to observe the testing. The previously submitted stormwater management design used a calculated 0.5”/hr infiltration rate for the proposed system. The tests yielded 6”/hr results so the system is actually significantly over-designed for the required results. Attached is the Geotechnical Report showing the location of the test pits and the resulting raw data form the testing. Please do not hesitate to contact the undersigned or any member of the team serving on this project for further information or explanations of the testing and results. Sincerely, Colliers Engineering & Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Surveying, CT P.C.
