27-15 January 6, 2015 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS , on November 13, 2014 the Township of West Orange advertised for Tree Pruning Services; and WHEREAS, on December 2, 2014 the Township received four (4) bids for this service; and WHEREAS, the bids specified unit prices for three different tree diameter sizes of 16 to 23 inches, 24 to 35 inches and over 36 inches with minimum quantities of 50 each, 50 each and 1 each respectively; and WHEREAS, the Township Engineer determined the lowest responsive bidder was Tree- Tech, Inc., P.O. Box 158, 1248 Sussex Turnpike, Mt. Freedom, New Jersey 07970 who submitted a bid of $20,490.00 based on unit prices of $167.00 each, 16 to 23 inches, $236.00 each 24 to 35 inches and $340.00 each over 36 inches; and WHEREAS, the Township received funding for this service form the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Forestry in the amount of $20,000 which requires a match of $10,000 by West Orange; and WHEREAS, to use all the grant monies a contract of at least $30,000 must be awarded; and WHEREAS, to award such a contract the quantities must be expanded above the minimum specified in the bid but less than the maximum specified of 400 each, 400 each and 50 each respectively. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED , by the Township of West Orange that a contract for Tree Pruning Services be awarded to Tree-Tech, Inc., P.O. Box 158, 1248 Sussex Turnpike, Mt. Freedom, New Jersey 07970 in the amount of $30,070.00 to trim the following quantities of trees by size at the unit prices bid. 16 to 23 inches, 70 trees at $167.00 each 24 to 35 inches, 75 trees at $236.00 each

Over 36 inches, 2 trees at $340.00 each for the one year period January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2015 Karen J.
