28-15 January 6, 2015 RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE’s IN THE AMOUNT OF $73,720.00 THROUGH NEW JERSEY CRANFORD POLICE CO-OP #47CPCPS WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange (“Township”) must continue to add new vehicles to its fleet to maintain an optimal number for service; and WHEREAS, resolution #204-14 was adopted on November 25, 2014 to purchase two (2) 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe’s 4WD 4dr 1500 Commercial but vendor, Municipal Equipment Enterprises no longer had these vehicles available for purchase; and WHEREAS, resolution 204-14 has been rescinded and the new vendor for this purchase will be Mall Chevrolet, 75 Haddonfield Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002 using the New Jersey Cranford Police CO-OP #47CPCPS for two (2) 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe’s PPV for the amount $36,860.00 each. WHEREAS, pursuant to the provision made in the Local Public Contracts Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(2) the Township as a Local Government Unit, may without advertising for bids, purchase any goods or services under any contract for such goods or services entered into on behalf of the State of New Jersey, County or Municipality thereof; and NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Municipal Council of the Township of West Orange who hereby authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Township to issue and execute a Purchase Order in the amount of $73,720.00 to Mall Chevrolet, 75 Haddonfield Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002 with funds received from the Federal Forfeiture Program.
