14-16 January 5, 2016 R E S O L U T I O N BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange, County of Essex, State of New Jersey, that the contract for TREE REMOVAL SERVICES - 2016 in the Township of West Orange, in accordance with the plans and specifications on file in the Engineering Division of the Department of Public Works, dated November 2015, approved by the Township Council, pursuant to an advertisement duly authorized therefore, be and the same is hereby awarded to the below named bidder for a one year period with an option for two additional one year periods: DOWNES TREE SERVICE, INC. 65 ROYAL AVENUE HAWTHORNE, N. J. 07506 who submitted the lowest responsive bid for all five tree sizes specified. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following unit prices be awarded by tree size: Tree Size Unit Price 16” and under $ 50.00 16”-23” $ 375.00 24”-30” $ 750.00 31”-36” $ 950.00 37” + $1,575.00 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this award is subject to a 2016 Budget appropriation for contractual tree services and that the authorization to perform the work specified above is contingent upon the execution of a valid purchase order between the Township and the vendor(s) prior to the BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT Certified Checks and/or Bid Bonds of all except the lowest responsive bidder be forthwith returned, and the Mayor and Township Clerk be and they hereby are respectively authorized to execute and attest a contract for the foregoing.
