17-16 January 5, 2016 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, the Township Council by Resolution No. 170-15 dated June 23, 2015 awarded a contract to Reggio Construction, Inc., 1575 West Street, Fort Lee, New Jersey 07024, for Oxford Terrace, Winding Way and Dartmouth Road Roadway Improvements in the amount of $585,296.25; WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 250-15 dated October 13, 2015 the Township Council approved Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $35,000.00 for additional work associated with milling and paving an additional section of Winding Way between “lower” Sheffield Terrace and “upper” Sheffield Terrace; and WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1, a 5.98 percent increase in the authorized funds for this project, increased the contract amount from $585,296.25 to $620,296.25; and WHEREAS, based on the as-built quantities associated with the improvements on all these streets in the original contract, Oxford Terrace, Winding Way and Dartmouth Road, and the additional section of Winding Way authorized by Change Order No. 1, the final contract cost totals $634,727.25 or a $14,431.50 increase over the funds previously authorized for this project; and WHEREAS, the Municipal Engineer by letter dated December 29, 2015 has recommended Change Order No. 2 dated December 29, 2015 with Reggio Construction, Inc. in the amount of $14,431.50 to authorize additional funding to account for as-built quantities for the project Oxford Terrace, Winding Way and Dartmouth Road Roadway Improvements be approved; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds exist for this work; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that Change Order No. 2 with Reggio Construction, Inc., 1575 West Street, Fort Lee, New Jersey 07024 for the contract Oxford Terrace, Winding Way and Dartmouth Road Roadway Improvements in the amount of $14,431.50 which brings the adjusted contract amount to $634,727.75 or 2.33 percent increase over the previously authorized amount of $620,296.25 or an 8.45 percent increase over the original contract amount of $585,296.25 is approved. ___________________________ ________________________________ KAREN CARNEVALE, MUNICIPAL CLERK VICTOR CIRILO, COUNCIL PRESIDENT I hereby certify funds are available from: ACCOUNT NO. 03-2408-15-0060-010 2015 STREET RESURFACING $14,431.50 ______________________________ JOHN GROSS, CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
