116-18 May 8, 2018 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, KEITH AND DEBRA CRUTE, are the owners of the single-family dwelling at 133 ELM STREET (Block 145, Lot 25) and WHEREAS, KEITH AND DEBRA CRUTE, is an honorably discharged veteran who has been certified as one hundred (100%) totally disabled veteran entitled to exemption from real estate taxes pursuant to N.J.S. 54: 4-3.30 et seq; and WHEREAS, KEITH CRUTE, has been granted total exemption from real estate taxes for September 29, 2017; and WHEREAS, KEITH CRUTE, has paid real estate taxes for the 4th quarter of 2017 and; and WHEREAS, there is a request from the Tax Assessor that KEITH AND DEBRA CRUTE be refunded all real estate taxes paid from September 29, 2017; and WHEREAS, the Tax Collector has advised that KEITH AND DEBRA CRUTE are due and owing a refund for 2017 in the sum of $2,210; and WHEREAS, this Township Council desires to refund all paid real estate taxes to KEITH AND DEBRA CRUTE for the year 2017. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that KEITH AND DEBRA CRUTE be granted exemption from real estate taxes, totally disabled veteran, for tax year 2017, pursuant to N.J.S. 54: 4-3.30 et seq. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Tax Assessor and Tax Collector adjust their records to reflect the aforementioned grant of exemption. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the T ax Collector refund the sum of $2,210 to KEITH AND DEBRA CRUTE which sum represents real estate taxes paid in 2017; Karen J. Carnevale, R.M.C.
