160-18 June 26, 2018 RESOLUTION To Authorize the purchase of one (1) 2018 Ford F-250 through the New Jersey State Cooperative Contract #A88727 WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange (Township) Police Department must continue to add new vehicles to its fleet to maintain an optimal number in service; and WHEREAS, as a local government unit can purchase such items pursuant to the provision made in the Local Public Contracts Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(2) without public advertising for goods or services, enter into contracts already secured by the United States of America, the State of New Jersey, County or Municipality thereof; and WHEREAS, the vendor Beyer Ford, located 170 Ridgedale Ave, Morristown, New Jersey 07960 has the following contract through the State of New Jersey (see “Exhibit A”) for the following vehicle: State of New Jersey Contract #A88727 One (1) 2018 Ford F-250 Total amount: $55,105.95 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Municipal Council of the Township of West Orange who hereby authorizes the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Township to issue and execute a Purchase Order in the amount of $55,105.95 to Beyer Ford with funds available subject to the bond ordinance period of repose on July 5, 2018.
