161-18 June 26, 2018 RESOLUTION To authorize the purchase of five (5) 2018 Police Interceptor Utility Vehicles through the Cranford Police Cooperative Contract #47-CPCS WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange (Township) Police Department must continue to add new vehicles to its fleet to maintain an optimal number in service; and WHEREAS, as a local government unit and a member of the Cranford Police Cooperative can purchase such items, pursuant to the provision made in the Local Public Contracts Law N.J.S.A.40A:11-5(2), without public advertising for such goods or services, through contracts already secured by the United States of America, the State of New Jersey, County or Municipality thereof; and WHEREAS, the vendor Beyer Ford, located 170 Ridgedale Avenue, Morristown, NJ 07960 has the following contract through the Cranford Co-Op for the following vehicles, see Exhibit “A”: Cranford Contract #47-CPCS Item #2 Five (5) 2018 Police Interceptor SUV Total amount: $225,218.55 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Municipal Council of the Township of West Orange who hereby authorizes the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Township, to issue and execute a Purchase Order in the amount of $225,218.55 to Beyer Ford with funds available subject to the bond ordinance period of repose on July 5, 2018.
