177-18 July 17, 2018 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, the Township Council by Resolution No. 39-17 dated January 17, 2017 awarded the contract 23 Maple Avenue Storm Sewer Replacement in the amount of $82,490.00 to Stanziale Construction, LLC, P.O. Box 2597, Bloomfield, New Jersey 07003; and WHEREAS, the Township Engineer by letter dated July 11, 2018 recommended Change Order No. 1 and Final in the amount of $10,360.00 to address necessary changes to the front yard and driveway due to field conditions as well as final as-built quantities for other items of construction; and WHEREAS, the letter of the Municipal Engineer indicates that the additional work in the Change Order was necessary and beneficial to allow the use of the driveway and front yard at 23 Maple Avenue; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds exist for this work under this Change Order No. 1 and Final; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing. NOW, THERFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that Change Order No. 1 and Final for the contract 23 Maple Avenue Storm Sewer Replacement with Stanziale Construction, Inc., P.O. Box 2597, Bloomfield, New Jersey 07003 in the amount of $10,360.00 which represents a 12.56 percent increase in the original contract of $82,490.00 is hereby approved. KAREN J.
