188-18 August 7, 2018 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, the Township Council by Resolution No. 177-17 dated August 15, 2017 awarded the contract 2017 Street Improvements Phase III in the amount of $1,755,200.20 to Reggio Construction, Inc., 1575 West Street, Fort Lee, New Jersey 07024; and WHEREAS, the Township Engineer by letter dated August 1, 2018 recommended Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $60,616.22 be authorized to allow the completion of the contract due to as-built quantities associated with the 60 items of construction; and WHEREAS, the Township Engineer requests this Change Order be approved to allow the completion of the project in August prior to the opening of school in September; and WHEREAS, the Township Engineer by letter dated August 1, 2018 recommended Change Order No. 1 as necessary and beneficial; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds exist for this work under Change Order No. 1; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing. NOW, THERFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that Change Order No. 1 for the contract 2017 Street Improvements Phase III with Reggio Construction, Inc., 1575 West Street, Fort Lee, New Jersey 07024 in the amount of $60,616.22 which represents a 3.45 percent increase in the original contract is hereby approved. __________________________________ __________________________________ KAREN CARNEVALE, R.M.C.
