211-18 September 25, 2018 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, on September 4, 2018, the Township of West Orange (the “Township”) adopted Resolution 192-18 authorizing a First Amendment to the Interim Redevelopment Agreement (the “Amendment”) between the Township and the Alpert Group; and WHEREAS, the Amendment provides that the Alpert Group will assign to the Township the Sale Agreement for the purchase of the property at 8-10 Central Avenue (the “Property”); and WHEREAS, the Township desires to perform a title search and to purchase title insurance as part of the closing on the Property; and WHEREAS, Prestige Title has provided a quote in the amount of $1,206 for the performance of the title search on the Property and the purchase of title insurance on the purchase of the Property, annexed hereto as Exhibit “A.” NOW, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE TOWNSHIP COUNCIL OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WEST ORANGE that the Township shall be and is hereby authorized to retain Prestige Title to perform a title search on the Property and issue title insurance upon the acquisition of the Property; and it is further RESOLVED, that the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary to effectuate the retention of Prestige title and/or the purchase of title insurance.
