217-18 September 25,2018 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the State of New Jersey Board of Public Utilities awarded to Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G) for the New Jersey Clean Energy Direct Install Program; and WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange is participating in the NJ Clean Energy Direct Install Program for 12 facilities in the Township; and WHEREAS, the total cost of improvements totals $221,856.45 of which the Township’s contributory portion totals $66,556.94; and WHEREAS, the BPU Energy Assessment calculations show an annual savings at $30,060.00 with a payback period of approximately 2.2 years on the Township funded portion; and WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Township Administrator to award this contract to PSE&G; and WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are available in the budget; the line item appropriation or ordinance to be charged is line account identified below; and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange, County of Essex, State of New Jersey, that the contract be awarded to PSE&G in the amount of $66,556.94. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the agreements and other related documents on behalf of the Township of West Orange.
