54-19 February 5, 2019 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange (the “Township”) has seen the continuing growth of multifamily residential developments throughout the Township; and WHEREAS, the Township seeks to investigate the potential demographic impact on the Township that may occur as a result of these multifamily residential developments; and WHEREAS, Paul Grygiel of Phillips, Preiss, Grygiel, Leheny, Hughes, LLC (“Phillips Preiss”) has provided the Township with a proposal for the preparation of a study on the Demographic Impacts on the Township, annexed hereto as Exhibit “A” (the “Proposal”); and WHEREAS, Paul Grygiel serves as the Township Planner and has familiarity with the Township based on his position as the Township Planner; and WHEREAS, the cost of the study will not exceed $6,000. NOW, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that the Township be and is hereby authorized to retain Phillips Preiss to prepare a study on the Demographic Impact of Multifamily Residential consistent with the Proposal annexed hereto as Exhibit “A;” and it is further; RESOLVED that the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to execute an agreement consistent with the Proposal; and be it further RESOLVED that the Municipal Clerk be and is hereby authorized to attest to the Mayor’s signature on any agreement consistent with the Proposal.
