84-13 April 23, 203 RESOLUTION CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 TO AMEND CONTRACT WITH PACKETALK, WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange awarded a contract to Packetalk, LLC, a New Jersey Corporation having its principal place of business at 471 Valley Brook Avenue, Lyndhurst, NJ 07071 for a Security Surveillance System; and WHEREAS, the Township Council by Resolution No. 205-12 dated November 27, 2012 awarded a lump sum bid of $207,803.00 to Packetalk, LLC for Security Surveillance System which included seven (7) outside street mounted cameras; and WHEREAS, the West Orange Police Department has been approved to use Forfeiture Funds to implement and/or enhance Public Safety Programs and will allow the Township to add needed equipment and increase the current installation of the street surveillance cameras by four (4); and WHEREAS, the cost for the additional equipment and installation amounts to $35,515.00; and WHEREAS, the Township Police Chief recommends the following Change Order No.1 pursuant to the Local Public Contract Law Application of N.J.A.C. 5:30-11.1 etc., as being necessary and beneficial; and WHEREAS, sufficient Forfeiture Funds are available; and WHEREAS the Township Council concurs in the forgoing NOW THEREFORE IT BE RESOLVED by the Township Council of West Orange that Change Order No. 1 with Packetalk, LLC in the amount of $35,515.00 for four (4) additional security surveillance cameras with installation is hereby approved and the Township Council further authorizes the Township Purchasing Agent to execute said Change Order with funds certified by the Chief Financial Officer.
