20-20 January 7, 2020 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF DELL COMPUTER EQUIPMENT THROUGH STATE CONTRACT # 19-TELE-00656 WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange (“Township”) must replace older computer equipment and peripherals in the Police department; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the provision made in the Local Public Contracts Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(2) the Township as a Local Government Unit, may without public advertising for goods or services enter into contracts already secured by the United States of America, the State of New Jersey, County or Municipality thereof; and WHEREAS, Dell Marketing, LP located One Dell Way, Round Rock, TX 78682 has a contract with the State of New Jersey #19-TELE-00656 for needed equipment for the amount of $44,328.15 (see Exhibit “A”). NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Municipal Council of the Township of West Orange who hereby authorizes the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Township to issue and execute a Purchase Order for $44,328.15 to Dell Marketing, LP with funds certified available by the Chief Financial Officer.
