21-20 January 7, 2020 RESOLUTION To authorize the purchase of Three (3) Vigilant Mobile License Plate Readers through the New Jersey Cooperative Purchasing Alliance # CK04 & #11BCCP Bergen County CO-OP WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange (Township) Police Department has camera equipment that is end of life and must be replaced; and WHEREAS, the cameras are used as license plate readers which are an integral part of law enforcement’s ability to collect data quickly; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the provision made in the Local Public Contracts Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(2) the Township as a Local Government Unit, may without public advertising for goods or services, enter into contracts already secured by the United States of America, the State of New Jersey, County or Municipality thereof; and WHEREAS, the Township is a member of the Bergen County CO-OP can purchase under Bid #19-34 camera equipment through Gold Type Business Machines, Inc. (GTBM) 351 Paterson Ave., East Rutherford, NJ 07073 (see attached Exhibit “A”) (3) Vigilant Mobile LPR 3 Cameras with software and installation: $59,863.22 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Municipal Council of the Township of West Orange who hereby authorizes the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Township to issue and execute a Purchase Order for the total amount of $59,863.22 to Winner Ford with funds certified available by the Chief Financial Officer.
