38-20 February 18, 2020 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange proposes Street Improvements 2020, Phase III for eleven (11) streets; and WHEREAS, to design and specify these improvements the Township requires the services of a professional engineering firm and land surveying firm; and WHEREAS, the Township Engineer prepared a Request for Proposal dated January 28, 2020 for these professional design services; and WHEREAS, the Township Engineer solicited proposals from four professional engineering and land surveying firms: Crew Engineers, Inc. of Butler, New Jersey; Keller & Kirkpatrick, Inc. of Morris Plains, New Jersey; Mott MacDonald of Morristown, New Jersey and Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc. of Flanders, New Jersey all of whom responded to the Township's Request for Qualifications; and WHEREAS, the Township Engineer upon review of the proposals determined Crew Engineers, Inc. was the most responsive firm for the least cost; and WHEREAS, Crew Engineers, Inc. previously provided professional engineering services to the Township and their work quality was excellent; and WHEREAS, by letter dated February 11, 2020 the Township Engineer recommended a professional services contract be awarded to Crew Engineers, Inc., 1250 Route 23 North, Butler, New Jersey 07405 for the design, specifications and bid documents for Street Improvements 2020, Phase III for the in accordance with their proposal dated February 10, 2020 in an amount not to exceed $23,900.00; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds exist for the services outlined in the proposal of Crew Engineers, Inc.; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange, New Jersey that a professional services contract be awarded to Crew Engineers, Inc., 1250 Route

23 North, Butler, N.J. 07405 to provide professional engineering services for Street Improvements 2020, Phase III in accordance with their proposal dated February 10, 2020 for a fee not to exceed $23,900.00. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be published in the West Orange Chronicle within ten (10) days of its approval as required by State Statute. Karen J. Carnevale, R.M.C.
