116-13 June 11, 2013 RESOLUTION WHEREAS , in accordance with Directive Number 102 issued by the State Office of Emergency Management March 15, 1990 each Municipality must have a Municipal Emergency Management Coordinator; and WHEREAS , Peter F. Smeraldo, Jr., Fire Chief, has the necessary background and expertise to perform the duties of Municipal Emergency Management Coordinator; and WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended the appointment of Peter F. Smeraldo, Jr. as Municipal Emergency Management Coordinator for a three year term expiring on June 15, 2016; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED , by the Mayor and Township Council of the Township of West Orange, County of Essex, and State of New Jersey, that Peter Smeraldo, Jr., Fire Chief, is hereby appointed as Municipal Emergency Management Coordinator. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be sent to the Essex County Office of Emergency Management. Karen J.
