123-13 June 11, 2013 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange desires to improve property it owns on Ridgeway Avenue by creating a neighborhood park; and WHEREAS, the plans prepared by the Landscape Architecture Firm of Barreto/Dowd of Howell, New Jersey entitled Ridgeway Park Site and Landscape Improvements include site lighting; and WHEREAS, the local electric utility, Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G) for a fee will supply and install the lighting fixtures specified in the plans; and WHEREAS, upon their installation PSE&G will maintain the lighting fixtures and wiring and the Township will pay PSE&G a monthly fee for this which includes the cost of electricity to operate the lighting fixtures; and WHEREAS, PSE&G submitted the attached proposal for supplying and installing 6 post lights and 16 bollard lights for a cost of $45,364.42; and WHEREAS, the Municipal Engineer recommended the award of a contract to PSE&G for this work; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of West Orange that a contract be awarded to the local utility company, Public Service Electric and Gas, to install site lighting in the new Ridgeway Park consisting of 6 Post lamps and 16 bollard lights in accordance with the attached proposal for a fee of $45,364.42. ________________________________ _____________________________________ Karen J.
