125-13 June 11, 2013 RESOLUTION 2013 ATHELTIC EQUIPMENT & CLOTHING WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange Department of Recreation shall purchase sports equipment and apparel for their various athletic programs; and WHEREAS, the annual cost for such purchases could exceed the Townships bid threshold of $36,000.00; and WHEREAS, the Township Purchasing Agent did advertise pursuant to the Local Public Contracts Law 40A:11-23 and received seven bids on May 8, 2013 for the 2013 season; and WHEREAS, six submissions were responsive and responsible and reviewed by the Purchasing Agent and the West Orange Recreation Department whom both recommend the vendor with the majority of items totaling the least cost; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the Local Public Contracts Law 40A:11-15 this contract shall be awarded for a period not to exceed 24 consecutive months. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Municipal Council of the Township of West Orange that the purchase of the 2013 Athletic Equipment and Clothing Bid shall be awarded to: Mike Shannon Sports, 1010 Edgehill Terrace, Whippany, NJ 07981 in the amount not to exceed $30,000.00. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Business Administrator is hereby authorized to arrange to pay for the foregoing in accordance with the terms of said Purchase Order on behalf of the Township of West Orange from funds available through the approved 2013 operating budget.
