151-13 July 16, 2013 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange requested proposals from six (6) Engineering and Land Surveying firms to provide design services for the Improvement of Moore Terrace; and WHEREAS, five (5) firms responded to the Request for Proposals; and WHEREAS, the services of a professional engineer and land surveyor are required to provide the necessary surveys and preparation of improvement plans and specifications; and WHEREAS, Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc. 100 Valley Road, Suite 202, Mount Arlington, New Jersey submitted a proposal dated June 28, 2013 to provide Engineering and Land Surveying Services for a fee not to exceed $20,290.00 which specifically excluded Traffic Control and Police Traffic Directors; and WHEREAS, the proposal is acceptable to the Municipal Engineer; and WHEREAS, the Municipal Engineer recommends an allowance of $2,000.00 be added to the proposal fee for Police Traffic Directors; and WHEREAS, this project may be funded by a Municipal Aid or Discretionary Aid Grant from the New Jersey Transportation Trust Fund; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that the Township be and hereby authorized to enter into a Professional Services Contract with Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc., 100 Valley Road, Suite 202, Mount Arlington, New Jersey 07856 to provide Engineering and Land Surveying services for the project the Improvement of Moore Terrace for a fee not to exceed $22,290.00 which includes a $2,000.00 allowance for Police Traffic Directors all in accordance with their proposal dated June 28, 2013.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be published in the West Orange Chronicle within 10 days of approval in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(1)(a)(i). KAREN J.
