RESOLUTION 11-22 January 4, 2022 WHEREAS, the Township Business Administrator has Retired effective December 31, 2021; and WHEREAS, the position of Business Administrator is provided for under Township Ordinance 2-5; and WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:69A-44, the duties and responsibilities to the Business Administrator are set forth; and WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends and submits for appointment John O. Gross of 301 Dey Street, Harrison, New Jersey as Business Administrator, Director of the Department of Administration and Finance in addition to his current position as Chief Financial Officer; and WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40:69A-44 provides that the governing body must waive the residency requirement by Resolution; and NOW, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that John O. Gross be and is hereby approved as Director of the Department of Administration and Finance in addition to his current position as Chief Financial Officer; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40 :69A·44 the Township Council Hereby authorizes Mr. Gross to live outside the Township during his tenure as a Director of the Township of West Orange.
