36-22 February 15, 2022 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange by Resolution No. 134 -21 dated June 22, 2021 awarded a Professional Services contract to the architectural firm of Arcari Iovino, one Katherine Street, Little Ferry, NJ 07643 in the amount of $318,000.00 for the design of a new West Orange Public Library at 10 Rooney Circle; and WHEREAS, during the design Arcari Iovino was asked to prepare interior renderings of the new Library which was not a task included in their design contract; and WHEREAS, also during the design Arcari Iovino needed the services of a consulting engineer to identify utility line locations to the building at 10 Rooney Circle which also was not a task included in their design contract; and WHEREAS, the cost for these additional and consulting services were $2,550 and $5,500 respectively as per the proposal of Arcari Iovino dated February 9, 2022; and WHEREAS, the Municipal Engineer by letter dated February 9, 2022 finds these fees reasonable; and WHEREAS, the Municipal Engineer by the same letter recommends an allowance for reimbursable expenses for this project of $1,000; and WHEREAS, the Municipal Engineer recommends Change Order No. 1 with Arcari Iovino in the amount of $9,050 for funding the additional services and reimbursable expenses associated with the architectural design at 10 Rooney Circle; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds exist for this additional work; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $9,050 with Arcari Iovino for additional services and reimbursable expenses associated with the design of the New Public Library at 10 Rooney Circle be approved.
