59-22 March 15, 2022 RESOLUTION FOR REBID OF WORKERS COMPENSATION THIRD PARTY ADMINISTRATION RFP WHEREAS, the Township determined to post a request for proposals concerning Workers Compensation Third Party Administration; and WHEREAS, First Managed Care Option, Inc. filed certain objections and commenced an action before the Superior Court of New Jersey, Law Division: Essex County at Docket No. ESX-L-585-22; and WHEREAS, the Township Attorney has reviewed the allegations and believes it is in the best interests to rebid the Contract as opposed to continuing time consuming and inefficient litigation; and WHEREAS, the Township Attorney negotiated a Consent Order resolving the matter subject to Township Council approval which order is annexed hereto as Exhibit “A”; and WHERAS, the Township Attorney recommends adoption of this Resolution which will expedite the matter and permit the Township to consider responsible respondents to the New RFP; NOW, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, BY THE TOWNSHIP COUNCIL OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WEST ORANGE that the Initial RFP be and is hereby rejected; and be it further
