77-22 April 5, 2022 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 97-21 dated May 4, 2021, the Township Council awarded the Contract Watchung Avenue Improvements Project to Reggio Construction, Inc., 416 E. Central Boulevard, Palisades Park, NJ 07650 in the amount of $213,103.53; and WHEREAS, the work under this contract includes street improvements consisting predominantly of curb, sidewalk, driveway aprons and pavement milling and resurfacing on Watchung Avenue between Washington Street and the Municipal boundary with the City of Orange Township; and WHEREAS, the Municipal Engineer desires to extend the limits of this project to include a portion of Columbia Street from Watchung Avenue to the bend; and WHEREAS, the Municipal Engineer by letter dated March 29, 2022 recommends additional funding in the amount of $40,000.00 to complete the work; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds exist for this additional work; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that Change Order No. 1 for the project Watchung Avenue Improvements Project with Reggio Construction, Inc., 416 E. Central Boulevard, Palisades Park, NJ 07650 in the amount of $40,000.00 or an 18.77 percent increase in the original contract amount is hereby approved bringing the adjusted contract amount to $253,103.53. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Municipal Engineer is authorized to execute the Change Order on behalf of the Township of West Orange. __________________________________ _________________________________ Karen J.
