96-22 April 5, 2022 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the New Jersey Department of Health, Office of Local Public Health (the “OLPH”) advertised for a non-competitive grant funding opportunity for Strengthening Local Public Health Capacity (the “Local Health Grant”); and WHEREAS, the Local Health Grant offers funding for local health departments to boost their respective public health capacities; and WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange (the “Township”) is a recipient of the Local Health Grant for 2021/2022; and WHEREAS, the Township seeks to utilize funds from the Local Health Grant to hire a fulltime COVID Generalist for the period April 1, 2022 through June 30, 2022; WHEREAS, the Township has negotiated a Professional Services Agreement with the Essex Regional Health Commission (the “ERHC”) for the hiring and management of a COVID Generalist for an annual rate of $30,900, annexed hereto as Exhibit “A.” NOW, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE TOWNSHIP COUNCIL OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WEST ORANGE, that the Township be and is hereby authorized to retain ERHC to hire and manage a COVID Generalist for the Township; and be it further RESOLVED, that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the Agreement with ERHC annexed hereto as Exhibit “A,” and be it further RESOLVED, that the Township Clerk is authorized to attest to the Mayor's signature; and be it further
