133-22 May 24, 2022 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, on February 24, 2022 Russian forces invaded the country of Ukraine; WHEREAS, the invasion of Ukraine has caused suffering and hardship to the Ukrainian people; WHEREAS, the United States House of Representatives has approved a resolution in support of Ukraine; WHEREAS, many efforts are being made around the world to send donations and aid; WHEREAS, the West Orange Police Department has elected to donate the following items to the Ukrainian Congress Committee: 40 body armor vests, 27 rifle plates, and 8 flap jackets to assist in efforts to keep their country safe; NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE TOWNSHIP COUNCIL OF WEST ORANGE, that the items listed above be donated to the Ukrainian Congress Committee by the West Orange Police Department.
