142-22 May 24, 2022 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange proposes Minish Park (A.K.A. Lancaster Park) Improvements for a New Community Garden, Ballfield Upgrades and a Covid-19 Memorial; and WHEREAS, to design and specify these improvements the Township requires the services of a professional engineering firm and land surveying firm; and WHEREAS, the Township Engineer prepared a Request for Proposals dated April 6, 2022 for these professional design services; and WHEREAS, the Township Engineer solicited a proposal from five professional engineering and land surveying firms; and WHEREAS, CME Associates, responded to the Request for Proposal; and WHEREAS, CME Associates have performed similar work for the Township on several projects and their work quality is very good; and WHEREAS, by letter dated May 18, 2022 the Township Engineer recommended a professional services contract be awarded to CME Associates, 1460 Route 9 South, Howell, NJ 07731 for a complete bid package including design plans, specifications and bid documents; and WHEREAS, CME Associates responded to the Township’s Request for Qualifications for Professional Services for 2022; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds exist for the services outlined in the proposal of CME Associates; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange, New Jersey that a professional services contract be awarded to CME Associates to provide professional engineering services for Minish Park (A.K.A Lancaster Park) improvements for the reconstruction for a New Community Garden, Ballfield Upgrades and a Covid-19 in the amount of $43,000.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be published in the West Orange Chronicle within ten (10) days of its approval as required by State Statute. Karen J.
