147-22 June 14, 2022 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange (the “Township”) has authorized the issuance of bonds with regard to the library redevelopment project at 10 Rooney Circle in the Township (“New Library”); and WHEREAS, the Township has been the successful recipient of Library Bond Grant Funds from the State of New Jersey; and WHEREAS, the Library Board and its Executive Director have been working closely with the Township concerning the New Library; and WHEREAS, on June 22, 2021, the Township Council adopted Resolution 134-21 which authorized the retention of Arcari + Iovino Architects, P.C. of Little Ferry, New Jersey (“Arcari + Iovino”) to provide architectural services related to the New Library and the execution of a professional services agreement (the “Agreement”); and WHEREAS, the Arcari + Iovino designed the bid specifications for the construction contract for the New Library which the Township issued on January 14, 2022; and WHEREAS, on March 10, 2022, the Township received ten (10) bids for the New Library which exceeded the previous projected amounts for the construction contract; and WHEREAS, on April 26, 2022, the Township Council adopted Resolution 106-22 which authorized the rejection of all ten (10) to allow for the revision of the bid specifications to add possible alternates with the goal of obtaining lower bids; and WHEREAS, due to the additional work required to revise the bid specifications to conduct the rebid for the construction contract, Arcari + Iovino has requested a change order be issued under the Agreement for an amount not to exceed $5,000 for the additional work in

NOW, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange authorizes the Township to issue a change order in an amount not to exceed $5,000 for Arcari + Iovino pursuant to their letter, annexed hereto as Exhibit A.” Karen J.
