#13301032.1 1 The proposed environmental analysis includes Lot 51 which is owned by the Township and currently leased to Twin Towing. 207 -22 August 9, 2022 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Matrix New World (“Matrix”) responded to the Township’s Request for Qualifications pursuant to a fair and open process for the award of a professional services agreement for Phase One Environmental Site Assessment; and WHEREAS, the Township is negotiating the potential purchase of approximately 0.6124 acres currently owned by Twin Towing (“Property”) at 1 Lakeside Avenue, Block 115, Lot 16.01 and Block 1302, Lot 11; and WHEREAS, Matrix completed its Phase One Assessment for the Property in June 2022, which concluded that there were areas of the Property that should be further investigated in a Phase Two Assessment; and WHEREAS, Matrix has submitted the proposal annexed hereto as Exhibit “A” to conduct Phase Two Assessment with regard to the Property. NOW, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to execute an agreement, in the form annexed hereto, to retain Matrix as an Environmental Consultant for the Township on the terms and conditions set forth therein at a cost of $37,300.00; and it is further RESOLVED that notice of this award shall be published and available in the Clerk’s office in accordance with applicable law.
