211-22 August 9, 2022 RESOLUTION APPROVING MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN TEAMSTERS LOCAL 560, PUBLIC DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS SUPERVISORS AND THE TOWNSHIP OF WEST ORANGE WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange (“Township”) and Teamsters Local 560, Public Department Of Public Works Supervisors, have an existing Collective Bargaining Agreement; and WHEREAS, the existing Collective Bargaining Agreement expires on December 31, 2022; and WHEREAS, the Township and Teamsters Local 560, Public Department Of Public Works Supervisors have negotiated in good faith; and WHEREAS, on or about August 2, 2022, the Township and Teamsters Local 560, Public Department Of Public Works Supervisors entered into a Memorandum of Agreement containing the terms for a new Collective Bargaining Agreement for the period January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023; and WHEREAS, John O. Gross, Business Administrator, executed the Memorandum of Agreement subject to the Township Council’s consideration and approval; and WHEREAS, upon formal approval, it is anticipated that a formal Collective Bargaining Agreement will be drafted and executed between the parties; NOW, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE TOWNSHIP COUNCIL OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WEST ORANGE, that the Memorandum of Agreement dated August 2, 2022 between Teamsters Local 560, Public Department Of Public Works Supervisors, and the Township of West Orange, annexed hereto as Exhibit “A,” be and is hereby approved, and be it further RESOLVED, that the Township Clerk shall make available during normal business hours the annexed Memorandum of Agreement subject to the terms and conditions as set forth in a formal agreement.
