226-22 September 6, 2022 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, CME Associates of Monmouth Junction, NJ is contracted to provide Professional Environmental and Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) Services at the Public Works Building located at 25 Lakeside Avenue; and WHEREAS, Matrix New World conducted a Preliminary Environmental Assessment associated with this parcel’s redevelopment; and WHEREAS, new areas of concern were discovered at the site; and WHEREAS, Manal Baba, of CME Associates, formerly of T&M Associates of Middletown, New Jersey, is the Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) for the Public Works Building at 25 Lakeside Avenue; and WHEREAS, the firm of CME Associates prepared a proposal dated August 26, 2022 to perform additional site investigations of the 21 areas of concern (AOC) in the amount of $82,600.00; and WHEREAS, the services proposed include 5 tasks: Task 1: Geophysical Investigation Task 2: Soil Borings and Temporary Wells Installation Task 3: Dye Tracing Trench Drain at Interior of Storage and Repair Garage Task 4: Vapor Intrusion Investigation Task 5: Reporting and Management – Data Evaluation and Site Investigation WHEREAS, the Municipal Engineer finds the proposal acceptable; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds exist for this work; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that a Professional Services contract be awarded to CME Associates, 3759 Highway 1 South, Suite 100, Monmouth Junction, New Jersey 08852, Manal Baba, LSRP, to provide professional services to perform additional site investigations of the 21 areas of concern at the Public Works Building, 25 Lakeside Avenue in accordance with their proposal dated August 26, 2022 for a fee not to exceed $82,600.00.
