233-22 September 6, 2022 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, the Township as part of the Redevelopment along Executive Drive and Rooney Circle acquired the office building and land known as 10 Rooney Circle; and WHEREAS, a portion of this building will be used as the new West Orange Public Library; and WHEREAS, the Township’s architect, Arcari Iovino of Little Ferry, NJ and the Township’s contractor for this project, H&S Construction and Mechanical Inc. of Elizabeth, NJ determined approximately 1,100 feet of existing ductwork needs to be removed to accommodate new ductwork; and WHEREAS, H&S Construction and Mechanical, Inc., of Elizabeth, NJ, submitted Change Order No. 2 in the amount of $25,366.66 dated September 1, 2022 for this additional work; and WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 is acceptable to Arcari Iovino Architects, P.C., Little Ferry, NJ as well as the Municipal Engineer; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds exist for this Change Order; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that Change Order No. 2 with H&S Construction and Mechanical, Inc. in the amount of $25,366.66 be approved and with Change Order No. 1 of $6,946.54 represents a 0.64 percent increase in the original contract amount of $5,075,000.00 bringing the adjusted contract amount to $5,107,313.20. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Business Administrator John O. Gross is authorized to execute the Change Order on behalf of the Township of West Orange. Karen J.
