241-22 September 20, 2022 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, the Township as part of the Redevelopment along Executive Drive and Rooney Circle acquired the office building and land known as 10 Rooney Circle; and WHEREAS, a portion of this building will be used as the new West Orange Public Library; and WHEREAS, the Township’s architect, Arcari Iovino of Little Ferry, NJ and the Township’s contractor for this project, H&S Construction and Mechanical Inc. of Elizabeth, NJ determined approximately 600 square feet of drywall and framing need to be replaced in an area where mold remediation was performed by others; and WHEREAS, H&S Construction and Mechanical, Inc., of Elizabeth, NJ, submitted Change Order No. 3 in the amount of $14,013.60 dated September 7, 2022 for this additional work; and WHEREAS, Change Order No. 3 is acceptable to Arcari Iovino Architects, P.C., Little Ferry, NJ as well as the Municipal Engineer; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds exist for this Change Order; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that Change Order No. 3 with H&S Construction and Mechanical, Inc. in the amount of $14,013.60 be approved and with Change Order No. 1 of $6,946.54 and Change Order No. 2 of $25,366.66 represents a 0.91 percent increase in the original contract amount of $5,075,000.00 bringing the adjusted contract amount to $5,121,326.80. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Business Administrator John O. Gross is authorized to execute the Change Order on behalf of the Township of West Orange. Karen J.
