250-22 September 20, 2022 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange (the “Township”) is engaged in a redevelopment of the West Orange Public Library including improvements to the building at the property at 10 Rooney Circle as the proposed location for the new library; and WHEREAS, the Township requires the evaluation of the existing mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems at the building located at 10 Rooney Circle as part of the redevelopment; and WHEREAS, Arcari + Iovino Architects PC (“Arcari”) located at One Katherine Street in Little Ferry, New Jersey submitted a proposal to perform the evaluation of the existing mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems at the building located at 10 Rooney Circle for a flat rate of $15,000; and WHEREAS, the Township has prepared a proposed Agreement for the retention of Arcari to perform the evaluation of the existing mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems at the building located at 10 Rooney Circle, annexed hereto as Exhibit “A;” WHEREAS, the proposed flat rate of $15,000 falls under the bid threshold and is therefore exempt from public bid under the Local Public Contracts Law. NOW, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that the Township retains Arcari to perform the evaluation of the existing mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems at the building located at 10 Rooney Circle for a flat rate of $15,000; and it is further RESOLVED that the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to executed the Agreement annexed hereto as Exhibit “A” on behalf of the Township; and it is further
