274-22 DISCHARGE OF MORTGAGE WHEREAS on March 16, 2013, Borrower Karen Merzon (the “Borrower”) executed a Mortgage in the amount of $35,000 (the (“Initial Mortgage”) to secure a loan through the Township of West Orange’s Housing Rehabilitation Program on the property located at 40 Edgewood Avenue, West Orange, New Jersey 07052 (the “Property”); and WHEREAS the Initial Mortgage was recorded on May 9, 2013 at Book: 12432, Page: 5608 with the Essex County Register of Deeds and Mortgages; and WHEREAS a Second Mortgage in the amount of $35,000 was inadvertently recorded on May 31, 2013 at Book 12436, Page 9937 with the Essex County Register of Deeds and Mortgages; and WHEREAS the Township of West Orange (the “Township”) seeks to remove the Second Mortgage which was inadvertently recorded; and WHEREAS the Township seeks to continue and maintain the recording of the Initial Mortgage against the Property. THEREFORE, the Township declares that: 1. The Second Mortgage recorded on May 31, 2013 at Book 12436, Page 9937 be and is hereby SATISFIED and DISCHARGED. It may now be discharged of record. This means that the Second Mortgage is now canceled and void. 2. The Initial Mortgage recorded on May 9, 2013 at Book: 12432, Page: 5608 shall remain in effect and in full force. _________________________ _ Mayor Robert D.
