277-22 October 25, 2022 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the State of New Jersey, Department of Community Affairs (the “DCA”) through the Division of Housing and Community Resources (the “Division”) operates the Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program (the “LIHWAP”), a federally funded program designed to help low-income households reduce the balances they have on their residential water and wastewater bills; and WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange (the “Township”) provides residential water and wastewater services for its residents; and WHEREAS, the Division requires the Township to execute: (i) a Vendor Agreement, annexed hereto as Exhibit “A;” and (ii) a Data Sharing and Non-Disclosure Agreement, annexed hereto as Exhibit “B” (collectively the “Agreements”) in order to participate in and obtain reimbursement through the LIHWAP. NOW, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE TOWNSHIP COUNCIL OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WEST ORANGE that the Mayor and Township Clerk are hereby authorized to execute and attest to, respectively, the Agreements annexed hereto as Exhibit “A” and Exhibit “B” between the Township of West Orange and DCA to participate and obtain reimbursements through the LIHWAP.
